gemi was founded with a simple belief: your hands deserve more. As two women balancing careers, motherhood, and everyday life, we realized how overlooked hand care truly was, even though our hands are often the truest markers of time.
Inspired by the Korean word for “joy” and “fun,” gemi brings the science and innovation of K-beauty, long reserved for facial care - into hand care, transforming it into an everyday beauty ritual.
Our hero product, the Hand Sanitizer + Serum™, powered by K-beauty innovation, was born from our experience as two moms searching for something that felt both protective and luxurious. When we couldn’t find it, we created it. The result is gemi: a clean formula that sanitizes, strengthens the skin barrier, smells incredible, and is free of sulfates, phthalates, and parabens.
We’re a small, women and AAPI-founded brand built by two longtime friends. This journey has been deeply meaningful, we spent two years obsessing over every detail to craft a product that truly gives you all the feels. With every iteration, we were inspired by the remarkable women who shared their experiences and feedback along the way.
